
Cedrus is a program of education and promoting sustainable rural development, currently located in the neighborhood of Verava, Ibiuna, SP, through the support of the venture SPAventura hotel. The program is partner os a non-governmental institution IPESA (Institute of Research and Social environmental Projects), and aims to promote sustainable rural development with the participation of the local community through education, research and agroecological extension. Our main objective is to set up experimental models for recovery degraded areas of APP (area of permanent protection) using different models of agroforestry systems, which serve as basis for the dissemination and implementation in other areas.
Cedrus divides into 4 lines of action.
1. Education & Research (courses, experiements, volunteer work, research and residence for students, researchers and institutions)
2. Restauration of degraded areas using agroforestry systems
3. Community Development Projects (Community Center, Rural School)
4. Dissemination of Social Technologies (Compost Toalet and Bioconstruction)
